would it be heresy to recreate something like that? i just got my 15"s today so i'm going to start my boxes. i'm still sold on the 828s, but the pride in being able to say "those are my Altec stanley screamers" ;D well,, you know. but i would probobly need a higher rated 15" than the 416Zs.
Stanal Sound used the 421-8LF a lot, which is pretty heavy duty compared to the 416.
If you're patient and diligent, you'll find that Screamers come up for sale now and then with some being offered here or at AK within the last year or so.

they're monsters. little much.
a7s would be pushing it but thats what i want to try out. i guess i'm mostly intruiged by the loaded horn concept.
